THE SECULAR TAROTIST
tarot without the mysticism

Two of Wands depicts a man holding one wand, the other by his side. Wands are about passion and enthusiasm, which have a tendency to seek a single focus. Perhaps this is just as well. Perhaps you'd better make a choice about where you really want to invest your energy in, because mental energy is not an infinite resource. This card suggests that either way is valid; the two wands present you with equal directions to go. But you still have to choose.
When it comes to making this choice, remember that all the Two's in the Minor Arcana are connected to the High Priestess, which is about the subconcious. Can your instincts help you make this choice, or are they ill advisers?
We can also turn this line of thought upside down, and ask ourselves if we're unwittingly making a choice because of our blinding passion for one 'wand', while on second thought we might not want to completely neglect the other wand.
